Intellectual Property on Web sites

There has been some discussion on the CASL-L about re-posting others content on your blog, wiki, or website in these days of content curation. The "mainstream" seems to think that if a link is provided, no other credit is needed. Are you, the teachers in your building, your administrators giving proper credit in their use of online content?

If you are an author, or a curator of web content for your user groups, how do you handle "credit"?
