CASL Collaboration Grant

Collaboration between the library media specialist (LMS) and one or more teachers is measured by the extent of co-planning, co-teaching, and co-assessing by the LMS and one or more classroom teachers. Collaboration means that the LMS has to have a larger role than supporting the project with resources.

A winning lesson will demonstrate a connection between competencies in the Learner Framework of the National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries and content area curriculum standards. The project will also be judged on the degree of collaboration over a significant period of time, and use of school library resources.

The winner will receive the CASL Collaboration Grant in the amount of $500. The recipient of this award will be expected to present a visual display that documents the project at the Annual CASL Conference.

Applications open until March 1, 2024.
